    LPD Basketball

Okay, how will the LPD season end up? (Girls and boys)

    Boys:

How do the teams finish on the boys side?

Who is the best player in the LPD?

What team can surprise people and do well in the region?

What team is in for a massive disappointment?

    Girls?

How do the teams finish on the girls side?

Who is the best player in the LPD?

What team can surprise people and do well in the region?

What team is in for a massive disappointment?

Can any team (cough Wise cough) make a deep state run?

    Re: LPD Basketball

The boys side is wide open imo, Burton is my personal favorite. With the transfer, Robinette, and the other kids they return they get the slight nod due to who everybody else lost. Union to me is solidly second and could/should be number one depending on who all plays. Word on the street has numerous seniors coming back to play which would provide them with more depth and athleticism. In addition, Hall/Barker should blend in well with the returning starters off of PV's team from last year. Central lost a ton but, everybody in Wise that I talk to seems to think they have the best team; many from Central are really high on Aaron Thompson, the PV transfer. One thing is for sure, TJ will have them playing defense. As for Clintwood, who knows, I have heard they are getting some kids off the football team to play that have not played in several years that should benefit them in the post. I have to think the loss of Vanover will kill them as they have really struggled to score it over the years.

The girls is Wise Central and forget it, really there is no point in even discussing it. Barring serious injury, the Warriors will name the score every night; this bunch is a serious state title contender.
